Werewolves in NYC

The Uratha population of NYC are a unique blend of the traditional and modern. Territory is as valuable to humans as it is to Uratha, forcing them to deal with this issue in a way that blends into the existing landscape and does not reveal their existence. Originally, the packs were solitary, fighting off mortal and Uratha alike. Quickly, they figured out how to consolidate power and incorporated other gangs, with the Uratha packs becoming the core of these larger gangs. The size of these gangs is a representation of the power and prestige of the Uratha pack at its core: a small gang is new or weak compared to the larger gangs that dominate whole neighborhoods. The most elite packs even surround themselves with as many Wolf-Blooded members as possible, playing out Uratha politics in the same fashion as street gangs.
