Character Description

Rain is of average height with dirty blonde hair and light skin. She often wears jackets and tends to hide her body. She has brown eyes, and is of athletic build. She has no scars, and she doesn't have any markings either. Rain is always very clean and wears very soft clothing. Her hair is often pulled back away from her face. Rain is a total germaphobic. She hates being in places that aren't clean or look questionable. She doesn't even like to hold hands for that reason. (Presence 3, Non-Japanese)

Character Background

In the mid-west of United States in the state of Louisiana, Rain was born to two very middle-class parents. Both were, at the time attending medical school. Neither parent had time for a child, and most of Rain's life was spent with nannies, care-givers, even relatives.

At the age of 7 she was sent to a boarding school in France where she was selected for a fine arts program in music. She had a strong aptitude for stringed instruments and had an ear for classical music. Her mother and father were seen once a year leaving Rain to find solace in the company of strangers and the embrace of music.

Money has never been a problem for her. In fact all her life she has been more or less spoiled by material posessions and gifts of all kinds, but it never quite made up for love. Everything she has done to this point in her life has been to prove herself worthy of her parents affection, and while they nod in approval at her academic record, they still do not welcome her to their home. Phone calls, letters and expensive gifts are their presence.

In her freshman year of High School, Rain was given the chance to study in Japan. She jumped at the chance thinking that her parents might react strongly to it, but her parent's barely flinched at the idea saying it would broaden her horizons more than being in that stuffy European school. She waited...and waited...until now.

Her behavior is growing bolder by the day, but are the bold actions of a mouse noticable except by other mice? She is searching for an identify, a family, a place to belong as much as she is looking for approval. At the age of 18, Rain is still very ignorant of how to be a person unto herself.

Her knowledge of the supernatural is limited to ghost stories and fairy tales.
