水商売 Mizu Shōbai

Mizu shōbai in Japanese is the name for the "water trade", the traditional euphemism for the night-time entertainment business in Japan, provided by geisha, hostess or snack bars, bars, and cabarets. Kabukichō in Shinjuku is Japan's most famous area to patronize the water trade, as well as its more carnal counterpart Fūzoku — the sex industry composed of soaplands, pink salons, health, and image clubs.

Mizu shōbai is a tongue in cheek way of suggesting that this club is more criminally oriented than most bars, even in the Kabukichō area, where it is located. It is a notouriously criminal establishment, frequented by the Yakuza, Russian Mafia, and criminals of all types. Sex, Violence, and other criminal activites are a staple of this environment. Most notable of all, the violence that happens inside of the walls of this place is almost never reported and when it is , it is rarely punished. This has kept the majority of normal upstanding citizens away from it.

Please note this is a location where one can go and get criminally oriented goods and services, but keep in mind, it will likely be a very dangerous situation at best and may not turn out in your character's favor. Japanese characters will have an easier time exploiting this than non-Japanese characters. Any activity regarding these things requires talking to an ST to do so.
