Ivy's Books and Curiosities

Ivy's Books and Curiosities is a mish mash of urban culture meets the occult. Stacked around the large window in the back is a modest but satisfying selection of kids’ books and parenting literature. Directly in front of the same section is a full section on witchcraft and paganism. The books are interesting and unique, but mainly fall into literature and the occult. Each category is sectioned off with a delicate string of white lights and labeled with those fridge-magnet alphabet letters of everyone’s childhood. Bilinguals will appreciate the foreign-language section.

The coffee shop and cafe is a not much more than a chalk board menu, a meager counter covered in fruits and pastries and three 4-seat tables. It's not big, but the food and coffee are wonderful, the wifi is free and the books are just too good to pass up. Overall Ivy's is a neighborhood secret, not that popular with the big city crowd, leaving a quiet atmosphere to read and sip chai.
