Character page
From OSWIKI
This is a basic guide to help in with making a character page on the Wiki. It includes some basic instructions on how to use the character templates and on common formatting. Before you can begin, you need to create a page. This can be found on the FAQ page. Once you have made a page you can type in text, copy and paste code or use a template. The rest of the information below is centered on using a template. If you would like to make an original page, there is more information on that on the FAQ page. It's recommended to use a template as it has a uniform look as the other pages without having to know much about coding for a wiki. You can find the different template choices on the Character Templates page.
Using Character Templates
You will want to start the page with "" on the following line.
Here's an example:

A cheat sheet of the different options can be found here. The cheat sheet will give you all the options for the different templates.
Body
After you have applied the template, everything that goes into the main body of the page is written afterward. For this part, you would write it as you normally would with very little notes necessary.
The first that some like to add is a quote, either that of their character or of some other art, you can enter this in normally and it'll appear at the top of the page. It will make no difference on the rest of the guide whether or not you add this.
The second part is the character description. This is usually just an exact copy of the description given when someone uses the "?" command on the server, but you may use a different description if you wish. Before adding this, you would first write "==Character Description==". This provides a nice header that makes it clear and easy to read. You would then write the description on the following lines.
The last part of the body is the character background. Like the description, you want to add "==Character Background==" then write the background directly beneath.
Categories
Categories are very important to add to your character page. They are required. If you have questions about how to use them beyond what is listed here, please come talk to an ST. Categories allow the pages to be easily found and sorted. Add them to the bottom of the page.
All current characters add the following two categories as such:

You also need to add any other related categories. Including character type, such as: "" or "" and details such as clan, tribe, covenant, auspice, coteries, packs status, bloodlines, ghoul families, etc. You can find a full list of the character category codes here.
