Allowed Clans and Covenants

All 5 clans and 5 player covenants (Circle of the Crone, Invictus, Ordo Dracul, Lancea Sanctum and Carthian) are open at this time. Blood lines are not being accepted at creation at this time. You may work toward a bloodline in character.

The most proliferant covenant in Tokyo at this time is Circle of the Crone. The next most popular are Invictus and Ordo Dracul. Carthians are scarce and Lancea Sanctum are pretty much nonexistent. We have creation bonuses in the next section to help represent those numbers further. (more information on clans and covenants)

Starting Experience

All Vampire characters start out with an additional 35 experience points. You can divide that xp up any way you like with a few exceptions.
* No more than half starting xp can go into disciplines
* Brawl, firearms and weaponry are capped at 3 dots at creation.
* Attributes are capped at 4 at creation.

Bonuses

You may also add certain bonuses to your sheet. Only one covenant bonus will apply. These may change at any time, so keep up to date when making new characters. The Coterie bonus is available to people who work together with other players prior to approval to create their characters to be in the same coterie. You must ask permission of the other players before putting yourself in a coterie.

We will allow some players to make leadership positions; this will alter the creation rules. If you are interested in that come talk to us before writing the character.

You may write characters are any age you like with a few exceptions.

* Characters under 1 year or over 100 years old are considered restricted.
* You must buy blood potency as appropriate to your characters age.
* You must write an acceptable background based on your characters age.

Note: We will have a one time only blood potency bonus after six months of play as a long term character bonus. In order to get it, you must write your character six months prior to when the potency bonus would happen. For example 49 years and six months old. This will not happen again in six months, this is one time only and may never be repeated with the same character.

Character Background

All characters are required to write a short background regardless of age. The minimum requirement for characters under fifty is: one paragraph for mortal life and one paragraph for your character's embraced years. Characters over fifty however have a different standard for writing. You must write one paragraph for your mortal life, one paragraph for your embraced years under fifty AND one paragraph per decade of your characters life over fifty.

Ex: Melinda is 80 years old. She must write a 5 paragraph background; one for mortal life, one for her embraced years under 50, one for 50-60, one for 60-70 and one 70-80.
