(1867)
Kotaru Takeda goes into torpor.
Sakura Takeda takes the position of Shogun, marking the first female shogun of Tokyo. She was put into power by her sire Kotaru, keeping his primogen and other officials. Sakura was merely a figurehead letting the primogen run the city in her sire's absence. She made this fact clear to quell the growing dissent of her reign. The local kindred were not pleased by a woman being in power. She made it public that she was seaking out a male heir to her family line that she would groom to replace her. Despite all of this she grew into her role as prince, slowly taking control from her primogen. Over time she became a well loved Shogun.

(1875)
Sakura searches out a male heir to the Takeda line to take her place. She finds Charles, the son of a Takeda female in Russia. She brings him to Japan and he marry's Sakura's daughter. They eventually produce several heirs. Sakura chooses Iawo and grooms him to take over.

(1915)
Sakura relents power to Iwao. Iwao's reign continued on peacefully for the next 6 decades, and Tokyo's post-war growth and technological revolution creates interest in the mortal world for Tokyo's kindred.

(1971)
Iwao begins to descend into a madness that comes and goes. It was rumored he had a vampire lover named Sheiko whom he was bound and addicted to. Over the next few years this madness grows out of control, he begins using his position to feed his amusement. The populace begins to consider removing him from his position, but Iwao had not groomed another male Takeda to replace himself and the populace was so steeped in tradition they refused to replace him with a non-Takeda.

(1981)
Sakura had been in seclusion for sometime, becoming involved with The Circle of the Crone, a growing faction in Tokyo. She finally re-ermges and is immediately approached by the Daeva priscus to take Iwao out of his position. Upon investigation she realizes the problem and attempts to help Iwao, but he refuses bluntly and orders her put to death publicly. Ako, Iwao's hound, who had been Sakura's hound before him, refuses as the other vampires present begin to rally under Sakura. Iwao attacks Sakura from behind, in a last ditch frsutrated effort to save his power. Ako comes to Sakura's aid, killing Iwao.

(2006)
Sakura has been in power for 24 years, and times have been quiet since then. The Circle of the Crone, through Sakura's efforts, has become the most prevalent Covenant in Tokyo. due to Sakura taking praxis in 1981, kindred sentiment toward female rulers has changed much faster than mortal society. Older vampires tend to see her as a hero, while the younger crowd doesn't seem as impressed by what she did. Since then the majority of the primogen council are female, and it is rumored that Sakura's efforts at placing people in power are to support her gender's ability to take control in a male dominated society.
