Mortal Based House Rules

This section is for all mortal based characters. This includes mortals, and those with minor templates like: psychics, thaumaturges, ghouls, wolf blooded, etc.

Template Changes

When a character who already has a minor template is ghouled, that character is allowed to make a choice. They can either choose for their template to be placed into a state of dormancy allowing it to come back once the ghouling has worn off or they can choose for the ghouling to fail.

A dormant template does not allow for access to any of its powers or benefits. A wolf blooded character can no longer sense werewolves or spirit activity once ghouled. A psychic character may not use his psychic powers.

If a ghouling attempt fails, the character still suffers a one step blood bond as normal. The ghouling is simply the only part that fails.

When a character with a minor template is embraced. He loses that minor template entirely including everything involved with it.

Psychic Powers

In order to make psychic powers closer to being equal to the other supernatural powersets in the game, we are taking an aspect of those powers. Psychic powers work exactly as written in Second Sight, with one exception: the level of the psychic power is added into the dice pool of the roll.

Example: the roll for the 3 dot version of Post Cognition is wits+occult-modifiers. The roll after the change will now be pre-cog+wits+occult-modifiers, which adds three extra dice to the roll.
