Werewolf Creation Rules Allowed Auspices and Tribes All 5 Auspices and 5 Tribes are open at this time. Lodges from the corebook are accepted at creation at this time, other Lodges might be allowed on a case by case basis. You may work toward an allowed Lodge in character. The most popular tribe in the city is Iron Masters, but the Storm Lords are still the ruling tribe.
Starting Experience All Werewolf characters start out with an additional 35 experience points. You can divide that xp up any way you like with a few exceptions. You may also add certain bonuses to your sheet. These may change at any time, so keep up to date when making new characters. The Pack bonus is available to people who work together with other players prior to approval to create their characters to be in the same Pack. You must ask permission of the other players before putting yourself in a pack that is being created or already exists. The pack bonus is +10 XP. Created packs also must work with the ST to create the pack's Totem. The rules from the book will be used for this. Character Age You may write characters of any age (above 18) that you like with one exception. You must write an acceptable background based on your characters age. Character Background All characters are required to write a short background regardless of age. The minimum requirement for characters is one paragraph for mortal life before the First Change, a paragraph about their First Change, a paragraph about their induction into their Tribe (or why they chose no Tribe or was kicked out if a Ghost Wolf), and one paragraph per decade since that time detailing what they've been doing and why they're in Tokyo if not native. The information about their First Change needs to be appropriate for their Auspice. For example, while it is possible for an Ithaeur to have a violent, combat oriented First Change, it's very unlikely for that Auspice. For more information on character backgrounds, please read the: ( Character Background Page )
The Pack Rule One of the most integral parts of Werewolf the Forsaken is that werewolves must run in packs. This is not an option in this game. Werewolves are wired to want and need to be in packs. We realize this is a different mindset than normal people have, but it is something needed to run a werewolf character. There are three options for a new werewolf character: you may choose to create your own pack with other players, you may choose to play without a pack for up to 60 days until which time you will be required to join a pack or shelve your character or you may choose to join an NPC run pack. These packs are packs that are run by NPC characters in order to keep the pack long lasting and stable. The pack will very likely always have the same leader and/or NPC members in order to ensure it is something available to all players. If you wish to lead a pack, it will have to be something you create on your own with other players. Wolf Blooded We do allow Wolf-Blooded characters. Any mortal can take this merit, but remember it is a creation-only, mortal-only merit from Blood of the Wolf. It is a variable (2-5 point) merit with different benefits based on the level you take. | |||||
